Reason the product is recalled
The affected tyre may have been produced with irregular geometry in the lower sidewall above the tyre bead area.
The hazards to consumers
Under certain circumstances, the irregular geometry in the sidewall can potentially create a condition in which a loss of air pressure is possible. Deflation of the tyre may cause loss of control and an accident.
What consumers should do
Consumers should contact their tyre retailer to arrange for an immediate inspection to identify whether their tyres are affected. If the tyres are found to be affected, the tyre retailer will arrange for a replacement including fitting and balancing free of charge.
