LG Energy Solution has provided an enforceable undertaking that it will increase its efforts to alert and protect consumers from faulty LG solar storage batteries which can overheat and catch fire without warning.

The ACCC has published updated guidelines to assist suppliers when they need to recall a product for safety reasons.

The guidelines also inform suppliers of their Australian Consumer Law obligations and the ACCC’s role in assessing, monitoring and escalating recalls. 

Certain Beefeater outdoor refrigerators have been recalled. Multiple fires have occurred causing property damage and an injury. Unplug the fridge immediately and contact Electrolux for a full refund.
