Reason the product is recalled
The baby walker does not fully meet the requirements of the mandatory standard, Trade Practices Regulations 2002, No. 219. The baby walker has a non-compliant braking system and inadequate display of the mandatory safety warning label.
The hazards to consumers
Due to the braking system being non-compliant, there is no mechanism to prevent the walker from falling down stairs and injuring the child. Consumers would also be inadequately warned of such hazards due to the lack of a proper warning label.
