Reason the product is recalled

Complete shut-off of the cylinder valve may be delayed for some minutes following removal of the hand/brazing torch from the cylinder.

The hazards to consumers

The defect will result in leakage of gas from the cylinder. Though the possibility is remote, these leaks can create a potential risk of fire or explosion. There are no known incidents of fires resulting from these leaks.

What consumers should do

If the cylinder has never been connected to a torch or other device, return it to the place of purchase for exchange or a full refund.

If the cylinder is currently connected to a torch or other device, do not disconnect it. Take the torch outdoors and burn off the entire contents of the cylinder. Disconnect the torch and dispose of the empty cylinder as per the label instructions or return it to the store where it was purchased for exchange or a full refund.

If the cylinder has been connected to a torch or other device, but is not connected now, take the cylinder outdoors and attach a torch. Ignite the torch and burn off the entire contents of the cylinder. Disconnect the torch and dispose of the empty cylinder as per the label instructions or return it to the store where it was purchased for exchange or a full refund.

Never leave a lit torch and cylinder unattended. Use the torch only in a well-ventilated area.
