Reasons the product is recalled
Two of the blocks included as part of the product (red and blue) may not comply with the mandatory safety standards for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age (Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003, as amended by Consumer Protection No.1 of 2005). Blocks may come apart during use.
The hazards to consumers
If this occurs small parts can be released. Small parts can present a choking or inhalation hazard to children under the age of 3 years of age.
What consumers should do
Consumers who purchased an affected product should cease using the 2 blocks in question immediately and return them to the place of purchase. If purchased online, the consumer should contact their place of purchase for reply paid details. Kaleidoscope will send replacement blocks directly to the consumer.
