Identified by the name on the front cover and by the nameplate designation S5980 on the base of the unit. NOTE: this recall only applies to S5980 and Revolution Power Plus 5000 vacuum cleaners purchased between 22 December 2006 and 31 March 2007.
Reasons the product is recalled
Under extreme power supply circumstances and extended standby mode operation (initiated by the switch on the handle or the parking system) an internal electronic component may over heat and fail. In exceptional circumstances this heat may damage the external casing.
