The pump was sold throughout Australia and New Zealand via the Onga dealer network from October 2006.
Reasons the product is recalled
A potential fault exists in the stainless steel motor housing/casing in which under certain operating conditions the normal expansion and contractions of the motor, a crack stator housing may occur and allow water to enter the motor windings. This may potentially cause an electrical shock to the operator.

Electrical shock.
What consumers should do
Cease operation and disconnect the power from the pump. Return the pump to the place of purchase for a replacement. Call the Recall hot line on 1800 881 173 between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday to locate your nearest Onga Dealer or to speak to a Pentair Water representative.
