The Pocket Rocket Stove (an outdoor recreational backpacking stove) is sold under the brand name of MSR (Mountain Safety Research). Stoves with a defect were sold between 19 January 2004 and 9 February 2004. The defective stoves have batch number KCL05
Reasons the product is recalled
The actuator pin may allow the gas to flow out of a gas canister once the stove is attached. The defective actuator pin may lead to a gas leak during installation/removal of the stove to/from the gas canister.
The hazards to consumers
Fire or injury.
