Models KE3560 and KE3860. Sold from March 2003 to May 2004.
Reasons the product is recalled
The affected kettles contain heating element conductor wires that were not crimped to Sunbeam's specifications. As a consequence, the incorrectly crimped wires may overheat and in some cases melt through the lower external kettle body exposing live 240V wiring.
