A new national education campaign encourages Australian men to consider their safety and avoid engaging in risky ladder use.

In one year in Australia, 1668 people aged 65 years and over were hospitalised because they fell from a ladder. Sixty-two per cent of those injuries occurred in or around their home.*

As spring has well and truly arrived and as homeowners start looking towards those DIY projects, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) is urging Queenslanders to be mindful of ladder safety.

When completing do-it-yourself projects around the home, remember that safety comes first for yourself and for others.
