Reason the product is recalled

Incorrect assembly of the control board may, in some instances, result in a powered component contacting the mounting screws securing the board behind the program selector knob.

The hazards to consumers

If the program selector knob is removed, the power left on, and the screws touched, there is a danger of electric shock.

Only qualified Electrolux service technicians should remove any external parts from the machines or attempt to service and repair them.

What consumers should do

The machine can continue to be used safely, but as an added precaution, consumers should switch the machine OFF at the power point when not in use. Under no circumstances should consumers attempt to remove the program selector knob or try to service the appliance.

Consumers should call the toll free number 1800 001 218 (Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm EST, or weekends 10am to 3pm EST) or contact Electrolux directly by email on customercare@electrolux.com.au
