Information about the proper ballast when the loader is attached to a John Deere model 2025R tractor is missing from the operator’s manual.
The hazards to consumers
If improperly ballasted, the tractor can be unstable and create a risk of injury to the operator or bystanders.
What consumers should do
Consumers should stop using the recalled loaders until the operator's manual has been corrected.
All affected owners on record will be contacted to inform them of the situation and to advise them to contact their nearest John Deere dealer. For help locating a dealer consumers can go to https://dealerlocator.deere.com/servlet/country=AU
The affected 120R loader operator’s manuals will be updated by placing labels with the correct ballasting information over top of the existing charts with incomplete information.
