LINDA electric blanket, Super Slumber / Sleep Safe

Blankets sold at Harris Scarfe (NSW, SA, TAS and VIC) between March 2009 and November 2009 were recalled in May 2010.

In May 2011, GSM announced that the recall had been extended to include electric blankets sold at BIG W stores nationally from March 2007 to November 2009.

Reasons the product is recalled

In instances where there is a severe bend in the electrical supply lead located at the connector to the blanket, there is a risk of an electrical short circuit.

Possibility of electric shock/electrocution or fire.

What consumers should do

To ensure ongoing safe operation, GSM International has arranged to provide replacement controllers.

Consumers should phone 1300 373 199 or email service@gsmsales.com.au Between 9:00am - 4:00pm (Mon - Fri) to make arrangements for the replacement controller(s) to be sent to you.

To assist in the recall process, please inspect your blanket to confirm that your model number and batchcode is included in the recall.
