Kitchen and laundry mixer taps sold between 1st February 2010 and 5th October 2011
Reasons the product is recalled
There is an increased risk of the mixer leaking and in rare cases the handle & cartridge assembly may disengage from the body of the mixer.
The hazards to consumers
If the handle and cartridge assembly disengages, there is an extremely slight risk of scalding due to hot water coming out of the mixer.
Note: The standard for plumbing and drainage, AS/NZS 3500.4.2:1997, requires that the maximum temperature of heated water delivered to all sanitary fixtures must not exceed 45 deg C in early childhood centres, primary & secondary schools, nursing homes and similar buildings and must not exceed 50 deg C for all other buildings.
