Reporting
Under the Australian Consumer Law, suppliers are required to report any death, serious injury or serious illness associated with a consumer product or product-related service. Suppliers can also report safety incidents and concerns.
See more about mandatory reporting.
If you are a supplier, report any product-related death, serious injury or serious illness associated with a consumer product, or product-related service.
Make a voluntary report to the ACCC about a safety incident, situation or concern involving a consumer product or a product-related service that you supply that doesn’t require a mandatory report.

Recalls
Under the Australian Consumer Law, suppliers must notify us within 2 days after taking action to recall an unsafe consumer product. Taking action includes, but isn't limited to, removing the product from sale, contacting consumers, and offering to repair, replace or refund the product.
See the process of conducting a consumer product safety recall.
If you are a supplier, legal representative or agent engaged by a supplier, use this form to submit a recall.
Suppliers should submit a recall progress report one month after a recall is published and then at agreed times.
