Soccer goal anchor points
Moveable soccer goals must have at least one anchor point at each side of the rear ground bar.
Labelling
Moveable soccer goals must have a permanent warning label:
“WARNING—ALWAYS ANCHOR GOAL—NEVER CLIMB OR HANG ON CROSSBAR. Unanchored goals can tip over causing serious injury or death.”
Place the warning labels in 3 positions on the goal:
- on the underside of the crossbar
- on the outside of both goal upright posts.

The label must comply with the requirements of the mandatory standard.
Testing
To make sure moveable soccer goals comply, suppliers must undertake these tests as required by the mandatory standard:
- static load test
- determination of stability.
Do the following stability test to make sure the moveable soccer goal stays upright or returns to its original upright position:
- install the goal according to the manufacturer's instructions on a horizontal surface using the recommended minimum ground anchors
- apply a pull force of 1100 N (newton) to the centre of the crossbar for at least 60 seconds in a direction that is horizontal, perpendicular to the crossbar, and away from the goal opening.
