Reason the product is recalled

The baby cot does not comply with the mandatory Australian standard AS/NZS 2172:2003. Further testing has found there may be multiple failures with labelling and drop sides.

The hazards to consumers

The cot fails to comply with safety and performance, design, and marking requirements of the mandatory standard. The product poses numerous risks, in particular the risks of suffocation and entrapment, to vulnerable infants.

What consumers should do

All affected customers should immediately regardless of whether they have previously accepted replacement parts:
• Stop using the cot.
• Not re-gift or sell any used cots.
• Catchoftheday will provide a full refund and on behalf of New Aim Pty Ltd arrange for the cot to be collected and destroyed at no cost to our customers.
