Reason the product is recalled
The Stanton Convertible Crib does not comply with the Australian Mandatory Standard, AS/NZS 2172:2003 Cots for household use—safety and performance requirements. There were multiple failures related to labelling and non-compliance with the requirements for the cots.
The hazards to consumers
The cot failed to comply with the various design, safety and performance and marking requirements of the Mandatory Standard, and poses an entrapment hazard.
What consumers should do
All affected customers should:
• stop using the cot immediately
• not re-gift or sell any used cots
• contact A Plus Buy to arrange for their cots to be collected and destroyed (at A Plus Buy's expense) and a full-refund for the cost of the Stanton Convertible Crib.
