Reason the product is recalled
Hardware used to hold the mower blade brake assemblies on the mower decks can break.
The hazards to consumers
The mower blades can spin longer than normal after the operator turns off the power, posing a laceration hazard.
What consumers should do
Stop using the lawn tractor until the service is performed and notifiy any person who may be operating the unit of the problem. Then contact a John Deere dealer as soon as possible to have the hardware inspected and replaced as necessary. This service will be performed at no cost.
