Reason the product is recalled

The products may have been fitted with incorrectly rated hoses from the fuel tank to the fuel filter and from the fuel tank to the breather/vent.

The hazards to consumers

It is possible that under certain conditions the hoses may degrade. If this happens, fuel could leak into the bilge of the boat leading to risk of fire or explosion which could lead to severe injury or death to the operator, passengers or bystanders.

What consumers should do

Stop using the boat and contact the consumer's nearest Mercury Marine Dealer who will arrange for the boat to be inspected and rectified at the expense of Marine Power International Pty Ltd.
