Reason the product is recalled
There may be a fault in the part of the light that bears the weight of the lamp, which may lead to the buckling of the lamp suspension system.
The hazards to consumers
In the worst possible scenario, the light may fall and cause injury or damage property.
What consumers should do
Known owners who purchased Skygarden lights between January 2008 and July 2016 will be contacted by email or mail. Arrangements will be made for a licensed electrician to visit and install a retrofit safety kit at no charge to the consumer. Once installed, the safety kit is not visible externally and there is no visible difference to the light.
