Reasons the product is recalled

The fork can fracture or break, which can allow the wheel to detach from the bicycle during use.

The hazards to consumers

Fork can fracture and then detach, posing a fall hazard with the risk of death or serious injury.

What consumers should do

Consumers should immediately stop riding their bicycle and take it to the nearest Cannondale dealer for a free repair. Cannondale dealers will replace, free of cost, the bicycle’s fork with a full carbon fibre replacement fork.

To check if a bicycle is affected by this recall, inspect the bicycle to confirm it has all of the following features (as shown in the picture above):

1. A prominent CAADX marking on the top tube or other tube
2. Disc brakes
3. A large “ULTRAX” marking on the inside of the fork leg
4. A black plastic cable running to the front disc brake that is outside of the fork blade (not internally routed within the fork blade)
