Reasons the product is recalled
The freezer bowl contains clear coloured coolant and if the bowl is pierced the coolant can leak into the ice cream mixture during the mixing process.
This defect has occurred.
The hazards to consumers
There is a risk of serious illness if coolant is consumed.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the product.
Consumers should return the product to their nearest Aldi store for a full refund.
Please seek medical assistance or contact the Poisons Information Centre on 131 126 if you believe someone has consumed ice-cream containing coolant.
