Four products are being recalled:
• Marinated Feta in 250gm packs with best before dates of 6/9/13 to 13/9/13
• Feta and Chile in 250gm packs with best before dates of 6/9/13 to 13/9/13
• Feta Vacuum packed in 220 gm packs with best before dates of 15/4/13 to 15/5/13
• Feta 500gm in brine in a bucket with best before dates of 15/4/13 to 15/5/13.

Reasons the product is recalled
The recall is due to microbial (E. coli) contamination.
The hazards to consumers
Foods contaminated with E. coli may cause illness if consumed. Symptoms can be bloody diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Often there is little or no fever or vomiting.
What consumers should do
Any consumers who believe that they may have purchased this product should avoid eating the cheese and either return it for a refund or throw it out. Contact the company or the Dairy Authority of South Australia (DASA) to find out about how to receive a refund. If you have consumed any of the products and have any of these symptoms consult a doctor.
