What are the defects?
The product does not meet the requirements of the mandatory safety standard for bunk beds.
The product has openings behind the ladder which are larger than the standard allows.
What are the hazards?
The gaps behind the ladder pose an entrapment hazard that may result in injury to children.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should contact Amart Furniture to request a replacement panel. Replacement panels will be available in March 2022.
