Reason the product is recalled
The affected batch of conditioner is contaminated with bacteria Pluralibacter gergoviae. Other bacteria may be introduced with further conditioner use, due to insufficient preservative within the product.
The hazards to consumers
Conditioner products contaminated with Pluralibacter gergoviae and other bacteria can cause infection or illness, especially in people with, weakened immune systems (immunocompromised).
What consumers should do
Consumers must stop using the body conditioner immediately if the product is part of the affected batch and dispose or return to store for a full refund.
