The sunglasses are not properly labelled in accordance with the mandatory safety standard for sunglasses and fashion spectacles. They are labelled as Category 3 sunglasses but were incorrectly installed with Category 4 lenses.
The hazards to consumers
The defects may affect the user's ability to judge the distance of objects, particularly moving objects. This has driving safety implications and may result in blurred vision and headaches.
