Why the product is recalled
The products do not comply with the mandatory standard 'Consumer Good (Basketball Rings and Backboards) Safety Standard 2017'.

What the hazards are to consumers
Users are not aware of safety precautions, there is a risk of injury to the user if the products are not installed correctly or if the user swings off the basketball ring.
What consumers should do
Consumers should stop using the products and contact Decathlon to arrange for a copy of the warning label and assembly instructions to be provided. Consumers will be requested to provide Decathlon with a photograph of the attached label to ensure that the label has been attached correctly. Alternatively the products may be returned to the nearest Decathlon store for a full refund.
