The voltage regulator on some engines may fail, posing a fire hazard, even if the engine is off or not in use.
The hazards to consumers
There is risk of serious injury, death and/or damage to property if the voltage regulator catches fire.
What consumers should do
1. Stop using the affected mower until it has been repaired.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. If you are unsure on how to disconnect the battery, see the Operator’s Manual or contact your local authorised John Deere dealer.
3. Contact your local authorised John Deere dealer to arrange a free repair.
