Reason the product is recalled
During use, the electrical components in the cupholder may overheat.
The hazards to consumers
Risk of fire or burns causing serious injury or death. A defect has occurred causing a fire resulting in injury and property damage.
What consumers should do
Consumers should check their recliner/sofa to see if it is one of the affected models and if so immediately turn off the power and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Consumers should then contact Dixie Cummings Enterprises Pty Ltd:
• for instructions about how to disconnect the cupholder safely
• to ask for assistance, if needed
• to arrange for the replacement of the cupholder and insertion of a dummy plug
