Why the product is recalled
Internal defects have been identified in the seatbelt anchorage bolts (specification 7/16UNF x38mm Grade 5 anchorage bolt) that may cause the bolt to crack in certain conditions.
The Seatbelt Anchorage Bolts are included in certain APV Safety Products Aftermarket Seatbelt Kits sold from 17 July 2018 to 19 January 2019.

What the hazards are to consumers
If the seatbelt anchorage bolt fractures, the seat belt's performance could be compromised in a vehicle crash. In the event of a collision, there could be an increased risk of injury to occupants of the vehicle as a result.
What consumers should do
Consumers who have had a replacement seatbelt fitted or used a fitting kit since July 2018 should contact APV Safety Products by phone 1800 804 588 or email recall@apvcorporation.com to arrange replacement of the bolts, free of charge.
