What are the defects?

The products do not comply with the performance or labelling requirements of the mandatory standard 'Consumer Protection Notice No. 1 of 2010 - Consumer Product Safety Standard: Vehicle Jacks'.

The overload protection does not meet Australian standards. Incorrect labelling on the product or packaging may result in misuse of the product.

What are the hazards?

Use of a vehicle jack with non-compliant overload protection may lead to a vehicle collapsing on a consumer, causing severe injury or even death. Misuse of vehicle jacks because of incorrect labelling may also lead to vehicles collapsing on a consumer.
