What are the defects?
The spring locking pin used to retain the foldable Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) pin may not meet specifications. If the spring locking pin breaks, the ROPS pin may not be retained and fall out.
What are the hazards?
Without the ROPS pin in place the ROPS could fail in the event of a rollover and may lead to a serious injury.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should ensure the spring locking pins for the foldable ROPS are in place before operating the tractor and check them frequently during use. Any person who may be operating the tractor should be informed of this situation.
John Deere will contact owners about the hazard and advise them to contact the nearest John Deere dealer to get the tractor repaired. This work will be performed at no cost to the owner.
