Reasons the product is recalled
Due to the presence of a substance called Calcium Oxide (Quicklime) that has been used inside the sachet within the packet to absorb moisture. If warning statements on the sachet are not followed and the sachet is swallowed, it may cause a mild burning sensation.
What consumers should do
Avoid consuming these products due to the possibility that the substance within the sachet inside the packets is caustic if it comes into contact with moisture and therefore may contaminate the seaweed if the sachet becomes wet or damaged.
