The fuel pump bracket may have been assembled incorrectly, causing the fuel hose to contact the air box and possibly creating a fuel leak.
The hazards to consumers
Leaking fuel poses a fire hazard.
What consumers should do
Kawasaki will write to owners of affected vehicles. Owners are advised to return the affected vehicles to their authorised Kawasaki dealer who will perform the necessary repairs free of charge.
