Reasons the product is recalled
Due to a fault in the product, the O-ring seal may not seal effectively and allow fuel to escape from the filter.
The hazards to consumers
There is a risk of burn injuries and/or property damage due to fire if fuel escapes from the filter.
What consumers should do
Consumers with an affected filter should stop using their boat immediately and contact their nearest Mercury dealer to arrange for an inspection and, if required, repair or replacement at no charge
