What are the defects?
Due to a fault in the product the O-ring seal may not seal effectively and allow fuel to escape from the filter.
What are the hazards?
There is a risk of burn injuries and/or property damage due to fire if fuel escapes from the filter.
What should consumers do?
Consumers with affected boats should stop using them immediately and contact their nearest Mercury dealer to arrange for an inspection and possible repair at no charge.
