Replacement glass rear windscreens for Toyota Spacia Wagons which were manufactured by Xinyi Automobile Glass (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd and sold in Australia between August 2008 and February 2009
What are the defects?
The potential defect is that the central area of the rear windscreen may not shatter into sufficiently small enough pieces when broken. No such incidents have been experienced in Australia but the supplier is recalling the 5 potentially affected units as a precaution.
What are the hazards?
Glass from a broken rear windscreen that shatters into larger pieces is more likely to cause cuts.
What should consumers do?
