What are the defects?
The potential defect is that the central area of the rear windscreen may not shatter into sufficiently small enough pieces when broken. No such incidents have been experienced in Australia but the supplier is recalling the 5 potentially affected units as a precaution.
What are the hazards?
Glass from a broken rear windscreen that shatters into larger pieces is more likely to cause cuts.
What should consumers do?
The supplier will contact the 5 affected customers directly to arrange a replacement at no cost. Customers can call O'Brien on (02) 9795 3499 to arrange for the replacement.
