Presscontrols already installed and working correctly are not subject to recall (by definition are wired correctly). This recall only applies only to new Presscontrols that have yet to be installed.
Reasons the product is recalled
Internal wiring may be incorrect. In the worst case, if the active & earth wires have been switched, this can lead to the pump body connected to the Presscontrol becoming 'live'.
The hazards to consumers
Electric shock.
What consumers should do
New Presscontrols can be returned to their place of purchase for inspection or replacement at the discretion of the retailer. Alternatively, consumers can contact Pentair Water direct on 1800 664 266 to arrange for inspection and replacement, if required.
