Reasons the product is recalled
Due to a manufacturing defect, the backboard may not have been welded to the supporting pole properly and may fail.
The hazards to consumers
If the welding fails the backboard may separate from the supporting pole, increasing the risk of serious injury.
What consumers should do
Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact Russell Australia. Russell Australia will offer consumers collection of the product and either a full refund or an alternative product of equivalent or better value, at Russell Australia's expense.
