Reasons the product is recalled
The sensor coils were contaminated with an incorrect solder flux. This raises the risk of corrosion of the Sensor Coil at some time after the manufacture of the Supplier Coils. The product will fail to trip if the Sensor Coil is not soldered into the circuit and/or the contaminated solder flux prevents continuity of the circuit.

What consumers should do
Customers are advised to test for the fault by pushing the test button on the Product to ensure effective operation. In the event that the RCD fails the push button test, the customer is advised to not use the socket outlet until it can be replaced.
