What are the defects?
Stainless steel drinking straw is rigid and if used by a child there is a risk of injury where the child engages in activities unrelated to drinking, such as running or jumping, while using the straw.
What are the hazards?
A child may suffer injury (such as mouth lacerations) from the straw if they engage in activities unrelated to drinking, such as running or jumping, while using the straw.
What should consumers do?
A replacement (plastic) straw is available in store. Customers should return the stainless steel straw to any Starbucks store to receive a replacement (plastic) straw.
