Set of votive candles with letters spelling "JOY" (set of 3) or "NOEL" (set of 4). The holders are supplied in two colours: red with gold paint inside and silver with silver paint inside. The candles stand 55mm high and have a 50mm diameter. The candles are labelled Pure Homewares.
Reasons the product is recalled
With prolonged use, the paint inside the candle holder may catch alight in contravention of the permanent ban on combustible candle holders.
The hazards to consumers
Burns, serious injury or death can occur if candle holders or decorations catch alight and cause a fire.
What consumers should do
Consumers should cease using the products immediately and return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
