Reason the product is recalled
Components of the drone sold between 1 January 2016 and 11 October 2016 had not been tested or approved by Australian electrical certification.
The hazards to consumers
Certain components have not been tested or approved by Australian electrical certification, specifically: 3DR Solo Smart Battery, Controller Battery, Overseas Plug Controller Charger and DR Solo Drone Charger Cord-set CH-07.
What consumers should do
The 29 customers affected are being contacted via both email and phone to advise them that they should cease using the non-compliant components, and that fully compliant replacement components will be provided to them at no cost.
