Reason the product is recalled
Some units were manufactured with rear sprocket retention bolts that may become loose. In some instances, Polaris has found the threads in the sprocket hub were not cleaned properly prior to final assembly allowing the sprocket to loosen from the sprocket hub. If ATV operation is continued ater this condition is present, it may be possible for the sprocket to become partially or fully detached from the sprocket hub. If the sprocket becomes partially detached, it is possible for the sprocket to catch the A-arm and cause a lock-up of the rear wheels, which may lead to serious personal injury to the operator.
