The Beats Pill XL is an audio speaker which has a "b" Beats logo on the front and it is available in five colours: black, white, metallic sky, pink and titanium. The Beats Pill XL Speaker was supplied in Australia beginning in January 2014 by Beats by Dr. Dre, Apple, and other retailers. No other Apple or Beats product is affected by this issue.

Reason the product is recalled
Apple has determined that, in rare cases, the battery in the Beats Pill XL portable speaker may overheat.
The hazards to consumers
If the defect occurs, this poses a fire safety risk which may result in minor injury or property damage.
What consumers should do
Apple is asking customers to return their Beats Pill XL Speaker at no charge and in exchange, Apple will provide customers with their choice of an Apple Store credit or electronic funds transfer in the amount of AU$415.
