Reason the product is recalled

A manufacturing defect in the power supply unit can cause the charger to malfunction and overheat.

The hazards to consumers

Risk of fire or electric shock, which can cause serious injury or death.

What consumers should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Belkin Australia for a full refund and advice for disposal of the product. Belkin's Customer Advocacy team will then provide advice for safe disposal of the charger and provide instructions on the refund process.
