Reason the product is recalled

The wiring harness for a 24 volt DC electromagnetic clutch unit may not be seated in the correct position and may possibly make contact with a moving disc. This can cause the insulation on the wiring to be worn off over time and expose a 24 volt DC line.

The hazards to consumers

If the 24 volt DC line does become exposed there is a possibility of it causing heat, smoke and fire.

What consumers should do

Switch off the printer when not in use or unattended. All consumers have been contacted and a priority maintenance of the device has been scheduled. Consumers are welcome to contact Konica Minolta on 1300 554 441 to discuss whether their printer is affected.
