Product description

Coleman CTAC Lithium-Ion Flashlights - CTAC40 / Model 2000013873; and CTAC60 / Model 2000013872. The flashlights are black, contain the word “Coleman” in white along the handle and have the model number in white print on the upper portion of the handle next to the light. The lithium-ion batteries inside the flashlights are red with the Coleman logo in white.

Reason the product is recalled

The flashlights’ rechargeable lithium-ion batteries can overheat.

The hazards to consumers

If the lithium-ion batteries overheat and discharge their contents, there is a risk of fire.

What consumers should do

Consumers should stop using the products, dispose of the battery* and return the flashlight to Coleman Brands for a full refund. Further information about disposal and return of the flashlight for a refund is available to consumers by contacting Coleman Brands by email at customerservice@colemanaust.com.au or by telephone on 1800 224 350.
*Rechargeable batteries are a hazardous waste and should not be placed in the garbage bin. Consumers should search Planet Ark’s ‘Recycling near you’ website (www.recyclingnearyou.com.au) or call the recycling hotline on 1300 733 712 to locate their nearest drop-off point.
