Reason the product is recalled

The earth and live wires may not be connected correctly, and the cable gland may not hold the cables tightly enough.

The hazards to consumers

If live wires are touching the metallic body of the motor and a person touches any metal part of the motor or gate they will receive an electric shock if the household residual current device (RCD) trips. If the residual current device does not trip, then the person will be electrocuted.

What consumers should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and should not touch the gate or gate opener until it has been disconnected from the power supply.
Consumers can disconnect the product from the power supply by unplugging the power cable of the gate opener from the mains. Once disconnected, consumers can manually release the gate opener.

Consumers should not remove the cover from the gate opener, but should contact BFT Automation to arrange a repair.
