Reason the product is recalled

Under some circumstances the engine may be able to be started in gear, if the control box is in gear (forward or reverse), and the key switch is on, and the recoil starter is pulled.

The hazards to consumers

Starting in gear will result in a rotating propeller which will put the boat in motion. Contact with a rotating propeller to a person nearby is likely to result in serious injury or death.
